Information for UK and Irish nationals for your identity check

Completing your Identity Check

You'll need to complete an Identity (ID) check in order to enrol. To fully enrol you must provide us with either a valid passport OR a valid driving licence (provisional or full) and birth certificate. Valid means that your ID documents must be in date and not expired. You cannot enrol without these documents. You can apply for the relevant documentation by using the links below:

If you have dual nationality that includes the UK and you have a valid UK passport you should present this as you shouldn’t then require a visa.

You should present what documents you can from the list in the table below. If you do not have a passport and only have either a driving licence or birth certificate you should present what you can for your ID check and we will provide further advice when we review your document(s).

Please see our Enrolment Frequently Asked Questions for further help.

You should complete your ID check before the start of term. Once you submit your Identity documents, they will be reviewed by a staff member and your Start of Session Checklist on Campus Connect won't update until your documents have been checked. If you have submitted your documents and there is an issue, you will be contacted by email.
