Completing your Identity Check
You'll need to complete an Identity (ID) Check in order to enrol. An ID Check is an essential part of enrolment: it enables us to verify your identity, ensure that we have your correct personal details registered and confirms your right to study in the UK.
The required Identity Documents for UK and Irish nationals is detailed in the below table. Your document(s) must be valid (in date and not expired).
If you have dual nationality that includes the UK and you have a valid UK passport you should present this as you shouldn’t then require a visa.

Once you have submitted the form, a staff member will review it (from 14 September 2024) and your Start of Session Checklist will update after this.
If you have submitted your documents and there is an issue, you will be contacted by email.

If you do not have the required ID
The documents detailed above are required to enrol at the University. If you do not have the required documents, we suggest applying for the required documents to enable you to enrol.
If you do not have a passport and for example, only have a driving licence or birth certificate, you should present what you can for your ID check and you will be contacted when our team process your submission with further advice.
