Enrolment for Continuing students

Complete two steps to enrol for this academic year.

Enrolment for continuing students

The 2024/25 academic year starts on Monday 23 September 2024. We will email you on Tuesday 13 August 2024 to invite you to complete enrolment ahead of the new academic year.

As a continuing student, you need to complete the two steps below. Please make sure you complete enrolment even if you are:

  • On a Year in Industry or Year in Business in 2024/25.
  • Retaking assessments in 2024/25, for example repeating or re-sitting a module.
  • On a Year Abroad in 2024/25.

If you are re-sitting assessments during the 2024 Summer Vacation Assesment Period, please await your progression outcome and results of your re-sit(s) before enrolling. You will be emailed separately with instructions to enrol following your outcome.

Failure to enrol & late arrival

You should aim to arrive and enrol as soon as possible at the start of term and at the latest by your School's enrolment deadline.

If you cannot arrive by your School's deadline you may need to consider interrupting your studies to the next academic year. Please note that it is your responsibility to let us know if you are experiencing issues enrolling. To do this submit your enquiry through the ‘Ask a question’ button on Ask Royal Holloway.

In some exceptional cases, and where appropriate evidence is provided before the deadline, your School along with Student Administration may temporarily accept a late arrival and enrolment. Your late arrival and enrolment will not change your liability for full tuition or accommodation fees. If you are due to be in Halls of Residence, you should also inform Student Accommodation of your delay.

For further details, including if you are delayed coming to campus or arriving in the UK, please visit our Failure to enrol page.

Returning from interruption

If you need permission to study in the UK and need to request a new CAS, you should apply at least six months before your planned return to the UK.

You can request this by completing the online CAS request form.

You’ll also need to contact your School Helpdesk to make sure you’re registered on the modules you will be taking when you return.

There is support available to you if you need any help settling back into your studies.
