Enrolment for Continuing students

Welcome back! We encourage all students continuing a programme of study at Royal Holloway to complete College enrolment before the start of term to make the transition to the new academic year as smooth as possible. The enrolment window for the 2021/22 academic year opens for September starters from late August and for January starters from December. As a continuing student you'll be required to complete two enrolment steps.

If you have not progressed to the next stage of your degree course, please make sure you respond to the progression recommendation in Campus Connect and contact your school so you can be registered for your repeat or resit modules as you won't be able to enrol until both of these steps have been completed. For more information please click here.

All continuing students must enrol each academic year by completing:

You should complete all of the enrolment steps before continuing your degree course.

More information about failure to enrol can be found on our webpages. To check your enrolment status, log into Campus Connect, click on 'Enrolment' and select ‘Start of Session Checklist’. This will show you when you have completed Online Sign-up and Tuition Fee Payment.

You must complete enrolment before continuing your degree course to ensure that you can continue to access College systems. The standard deadline to return and re-enrol at the College is 21 days from the start of your programme. However, some schools have set an earlier deadline due to the intensity of the course at the start of term. Please see below for more information about the start of term and what to do if you will be delayed in arriving and how to continue to complete your enrolment.

What if I am delayed in coming to campus?

We are excited to be able to plan for the majority of students to study on campus (Egham or London depending on your course) for courses starting January 2022. If you are able to come to campus, we expect you to attend timetabled on campus teaching in person. Being in an educational environment, attending face-to-face classes, having access to the library, and being able to connect with your classmates will help you to succeed in your goals.

If you are in the UK and are having difficulties starting your studies on Campus please contact your school for further guidance.

What do I need to do to enrol at Royal Holloway?

All continuing students must enrol each academic year by completing:

If you are resitting or repeating assessments in the 2021/22 academic year, you must also ensure that you have made your progression decision on Campus Connect and contacted your School Helpdesk to request that you are registered on the required courses. If you are resitting or repeating you will not be able to enrol until your school have registered you on the required resit/repeat modules and you have made your progression decision on Campus Connect.

What happens if I don't complete enrolment?

If you do not enrol with the College by the deadline, you will not be entitled to use any College facilities, including the Computer Centre, the Library, Campus Account facilities, the Students' Union, or attend lectures and seminars.

Failure to complete enrolment by deadline will result in the termination of your registration, unless prior approval with supporting medical evidence or other good reason has been given. Exceptions will only be considered where Student Administration has been informed in advance of any circumstances that prevent enrolment by the specified time.

If, in exceptional circumstances, re-admission is subsequently granted you will be liable for a reinstatement fee of £300.

Please note it is your responsibility to let us know if you are experiencing issues enrolling, to do this email the Student Services Centre. Students will not be permitted to re-commence their studies and/or enrol after the deadline has passed. If you are unable to return to the College within this time you may need to consider interrupting your studies.
