Volunteer participants are needed for a Porcelain Sculpture and Lantern makingworkshop hosted by Surrey Arts team at 10am-12noon Wednesday 30 May in Rialto in the Students’ Union during Volunteering Week 2012.

Forgotten Festivals is a project that brings together events across Surrey that celebrate communities and their histories. The Runway project is a new event developed by Surrey Arts Partnership, where the National Trust site in Runnymede will have an illuminated installation, which will involve memories and creating sculptures.The project is being developed by a dance artist and choreographer with the aim of sharing themes of freedom and flight to involve an intergenerational dance group in a site-specific performance. 

The aim is to have a final installation/performance by the river at Runnymede on Saturday 13 October 2012.  Various other volunteers are needed for the overall project including; Capturing memories, Dance workshops, Volunteering at the event, and Assistant Film Makers
