Volunteers' Week 2016 will see Royal Holloway enter its second decade of hosting an annual week as part of
the national initiative. Volunteers' Week is an annual initiative when hundreds of events and celebrations will take place across the country to say thank you to volunteers, recognising the important contribution they make.

This year we are launching the week on the eve of Tuesday 31st May by hosting Runnymede Volunteer Awards 2016 on campus to celebrate our volunteers.

Furthermore each year hundreds of students contribute over one thousand hours to serving the local community. Community Action works in partnership with the Students' Union, Voluntary Support North Surrey, Runnymede Borough Council and a number of local charities and community organisations to offer a range of projects for students and community volunteers to get involved with. As most exams and coursework deadlines are over, why not do something worthwhile whilst having fun in the sunshine?

Projects this year include; supporting the Food4Lunch scheme with supermaket colletion & foodbag packing, creating a community cafe garden, and joining in with The Big Tidy Up.

Sign up yourself, with friends, or get your whole club or society involved - complete the online form to get involved! Then join the Facebook event for further information on this national initiative, more details about what is happening locally, and project updates.

This initiative is in partnership with Voluntary Support North Surrey supported by Surrey County Council and official corporate sponsor is Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
