Royal Holloway's Community Action volunteering will be hosting a Pop-Up space in Egham High Street to highlight the community work done by students, and provide a number of opportunities for local people to get involved with helping others in need.
This will include displaying a range of the projects students are involved with, children’s & schools workshops, and elderly coffee mornings. There will be an exhibition of children’s entries for the Students’ Union ‘Happy Neighbours’ schools competition, with the winning postcard available. The space will also be used to profile local charities and working with Voluntary Support North Surrey to offer community volunteering opportunities for passers-by to get involved with.
This community space will be officially opened by the Principal Paul Layzell, and The Mayor of Runnymede Cllr Yvonna Lay at 1pm, Wednesday 20 November 2013. All are welcome to attend.
The opening times will then be 12noon-6pm, Monday to Friday and then specific evening and weekend dates as advertised. The initiative is being supported by Royal Holloway Alumni Fund
