Impact and Partnerships Associate (casual worker opportunity)

Research & Innovation Directorate at Royal Holloway

Application deadline: 10am, Monday 25 September 2023

Royal Holloway’s Research and Innovation Team has a student casual worker opportunity for an Impact and Partnerships Associate to help us deliver the Social Science Impact Accelerator Programme, funded by an IAA grant from the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The Programme offers funding, training and support for academics and partner organisations to maximise the real-world impact of our social science research.

This role would suit a graduate student (PhD or MA/MSc) and offers experience in Knowledge Exchange and social innovation work at a university. The post holder will have exposure to a wide range of stakeholders and academics in topics such as sustainability, health, heritage, the creative sector and education, among others.

In the first instance, we are creating a pool of 3-5 students to support the programme during the next 12 months. This may involve working on events, project co-ordination, engaging with external and internal stakeholders, carrying out desk research, and supporting Programme communication activities. We expect this to be around 5-10 days per person for the year for the core programme work. There may also longer-term projects which we will discuss case by case.

This is a flexible, casual student worker role that can work around graduate studies.

Please find the Job Description and Person Specification attached.

To express interest, please send a CV and a cover letter explaining why you’re interested in the role and what skills you bring to Emily Gow at SocialScienceImpactrhul.ac.uk by 10am, Monday 25 September 2023.
