Former PGR Rui Hou (August 2024) has written an article which was co-authored with their PhD supervisor Prof. Huaichuan Rui in the Journal of World Business, an ABS 4 journal.
Article abstract: We introduce a co-evolutionary model based on a longitudinal case study — the journey of a Chinese bank as it first integrates with, and then decouples from the US-led global financial system. This process reflects the bank’s strategic adaptations to the economic, institutional, and geopolitical shifts in its national and international environments, stemming from the co-evolving dynamics between the Chinese and the US-led financial systems. This paper offers fresh perspectives to the catching-up internationalisation of emerging market multinationals for researchers, professionals, and policymakers. Read the article here
