Are you a mid/late-stage Doctoral Researcher struggling with thesis drafting/writing up? Do you procrastinate writing or have no idea where to start with that chapter? Do you need a motivational writing weekend full of quiet time to write, different perspectives, active breaks, community, and food?
We hear you. Thesis Boot Camp is back from 19th−21st April 2024, and we want you to join us! TBC is a weekend retreat dedicated to getting words down on paper and producing a zero draft of a chapter. The programme is designed to help later-stage PhD researchers kickstart their writing progress and leap over the final hurdle, and we’ve got lots of planning strategies, procrastination busters, and fun motivational activities (and snacks) to keep you going through the weekend.
Introductory sessions will include an overview of the weekend, success stories from past camps, and guided support in creating your own detailed plan for the camp so you can arrive ready to focus and fill that blank page with wonderful thoughts.
Previous TBC participants have noted that ‘it was very productive and created a fantastic working atmosphere’, ‘both chapter drafts were completed with time to spare’, and ‘the structure of the weekend and the motivational blocks were key’ to help researchers ‘clarify thoughts and work so much better’ after the weekend too.
Are you up for the challenge?
Save the date (19th−21st April). Applications opening soon. See you there!
