As part of the Doctoral School’s pilot PGR Career Enhancement Placement Scheme, you can either source the placement opportunity yourself or apply for placement opportunities sourced by the College.
We are delighted to announce that applications for the following three placement opportunities, sourced by the Director of External Engagement for the School of Humanities but are open to you all, regardless of your School, are now live:
Each placement is for 6 months part-time from the beginning of February to the end of July 2023.
- If you are a funded student, you will continue to receive your stipend during the placement and your funding date will be extended by 3 months full-time / 6 months part-time to reflect the time you take away from your research to do the placement.
- If your PhD is self-funded, you will receive a bursary commensurate with a studentship stipend i.e. equivalent to £378 per week full time during the placement.
- In both cases:
- You will also be eligible to apply for up to £1,500 in addition to support travel, accommodation, and other expenses.
- Your submission deadline will be extended to reflect the time taken away from your research to do the placement.
