As you will be aware, after the UK formally left the EU on 31 January 2020, the UK and the EU are currently in a transition period until
31 December 2020 to allow for relevant legislation to be put in place for the UK’s exit.
If you are an EU/EEA student, this will have an effect on your immigration status in the UK and what you will need to do to show you remain eligible to study here. If you are an EU/EEA student currently in the UK, and you have not already done so, you should apply for the
EU Settlement Scheme - this is free to apply for and will grant you either pre-settled (five years of leave in the UK) or settled status (indefinite leave). Further information on this and how to apply can be found on the
EU Hub on the student intranet.
