Career Enhancement Placement Officer

- Salary is £17.87 per hour (including London Allowance)
Applications are invited for the post of Career Enhancement Placement Officer within the Doctoral School at Royal Holloway, University of London.
Academic Administration at Royal Holloway is organised into six School Administration teams and a Doctoral School, which are all part of the Academic Services directorate; a single professional service which supports the student journey. Administration teams have been designed to provide a consistent and effective service to both students and staff.
The Career Enhancement Placement Officer will be responsible for administering the pilot Career Enhancement Placement Scheme into its second year. This will include setting up web content around the scheme, advertising placement opportunities identified, conducting due diligence checks on placement providers, creating placement agreements, monitoring and tracking applications received, checking in on both students and placement providers during the course of the placement, and maintaining feedback records and reports, along with other related tasks.
Candidates should have excellent organisational skills, enjoy managing a number of tasks simultaneously, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should have knowledge of PGR or similar placements, and be committed to supporting our research students through their placements, offering guidance and advice in a timely manner.
The university has adopted hybrid working for some roles and so some remote working would be possible for this role.
The post is based in Egham, Surrey where the university is situated in a beautiful, leafy campus near to Windsor Great Park and within commuting distance from London.
