Why Participate?
- In this period of self-isolation, upheaval from our normal lives and work routines, researchers might be finding it ‘challenging’ to carve out time to write, whether articles, theses or administrative emails.
- This period of self-isolation may make worse feelings of loneliness that many researchers experience anyway.
- This virtual Writers Group seeks to counter these feelings by enabling researchers to come together (virtually), get on with the day-job of writing and in the process build a sense of connection and a virtual community.
- It can also be a space to help researchers manage their procrastination, too.
Who:
- Hosted by Dr Matt Lane, Director of the Researcher Development Partnership and formerly a researcher developer at Cambridge University, 2010-2018. He was the institutional lead of Cambridge’s PhD Writers Group.
What you will need:
- Computer, laptop, good old-fashioned pen and paper – whatever you write with and on.
