The PGR-run Zoom Study Room aims to reintroduce some structure, focus, and a sense of community into the working lives of PGRs during lockdown. It's proven to be a friendly and productive space, where researchers can meet up, have a chat, and get on with some work. The sessions run Mon-Fri, from 10am-12pm, and again from 2pm-4.30pm. We work using the pomodoro technique (25 mins work, 5 min break, repeat x4); these short bursts of work are great for anyone who is - understandably - struggling to maintain focus at the moment.

The afternoon sessions begin with an informal catch-up from 2-2.30; this can be a good way to meet new people/get some much needed human contact, but it's entirely optional - feel free to arrive at 2.30 for the work session. Everyone is welcome to come along as often as they like, be that every day or once every few weeks.
