Important information about the PGR study space in the Doctoral Hub and the PGR building outside of the Arts Building
At the end of June 2018, the PGR building outside Arts is being closed and the allocated desks in that block are being transferred down to the Doctoral Hub (International Building IN030).
The Doctoral Hub will be closed for refurbishment from 29 June for approximately 2 weeks. During this time, all PGR students are requested to use the Research Postgraduate room in the Davison Building.
Why?
This is due to lack of available office space in the Arts Building for incoming Law academics. The School of Law’s administration team is moving into the building outside the Arts Building.
What do I need to do?
If you use the Doctoral Hub / lockers in the Doctoral Hub
- If you currently use one of the lockers in the Doctoral Hub, please clear it by Friday 29 June at the latest
- The contents of any lockers not cleared by then will be removed
- When the Doctoral Hub re-opens at the end of July, five un-allocated hot desks will be available to all PGR students. The social area (i.e. lockers, sofas, kitchenette) will remain if you currently have a desk in the PGR building outside of the Arts Building
- Please remove all your personal belongings from the pedestal at your desk
- 20 new desks will be allocated in the Doctoral Hub once it re-opens at the end of July
The deadline to remove your belongings is Friday 29 June at the latest.
