The Doctoral School virtual conference took place on the 11 June and kicked off with a poster presentation. We had 23 doctoral researchers presenting online and all did a great job of bringing their static posters to life. Professor Pam Denicolo from Reading University gave a well-received session on Demystifying the Viva and we hope to have her back in the autumn for a repeat. We had a full Editors panel giving expert advice on getting published and finished with a Roundtable hour answering queries from researchers mostly focused on the challenges we all face coming out of the Covid-19 situation. As this conference has proven, online can be a reasonable substitute for face to face and thanks to all who participated – everyone was very engaged which led to this success.
