SCONUL Access is a scheme which allows University library users to access study spaces or books and journals at other libraries which belong to the scheme. This scheme was temporary suspended during lockdown and it reopened on the 15 November.
If you do not live near Royal Holloway or spend periods of time at other locations, you can find out which Universities offer facilities under this scheme by visiting the SCONUL Access webpage. Once you have chosen the University that you want to visit, you can follow the instructions to apply for access.
As soon as your application is approved, you will receive an email which you will need to take to the library you want to visit, along with your library or university ID card. Once you are part of the scheme, you will not need to apply again to visit other Universities. As long as they are part of the scheme, you will be able to use any of them by showing your confirmation email.
If you have any queries about SCONUL access, you can email Eva Dann, the Doctoral School Liaison Librarian.
