UKRI-funded postgraduate researchers
At the end of March 2021, the UKRI announced a third round of funding extensions, run and managed by the DTPs and CDTs. Please contact your DTP / CDT directly for information how this scheme is being implemented.
Externally-funded postgraduate researchers
If you are wholly funded by an external organisation:
- Work with your supervisor and liaise with the company/organisation to request a funding extension.
- If the company/organisation agrees to a funding extension, please inform the Doctoral School so that your student funding record can be up-dated.
- Please note that you should request full fees from the company/organisation, rather than writing-up fees, for the extension to your current programme of study.
- You should also check with the company/organisation that they agree to a commensurate extension to your submission date too. Please inform the Doctoral School if this the case.
Government-funded postgraduate researchers
- Work with your supervisor and liaise with your government to request a funding extension.
- If your government agrees to a funding extension, please inform the Doctoral School so that your student funding record can be up-dated.
- Please note that you should request full fees from your government, rather than writing-up fees, for the extension to your current programme of study.
- You should also check with your government that they agree to a commensurate extension to your submission date too. Please inform the Doctoral School if this the case.
