Booking details

Updated Monday 24 August

Bookings for the weeks beginning 31 August  and 7 September are now closed.  If you have submitted a booking form, you will be informed of whether your booking request has been successful by the end of Tuesday 25 August.

A socially-distanced study space has been created in Moore Annexe (MX34 and MX35) specifically for postgraduate students - both taught and research.

  • There are be 38 desks available -17 with PCs and 21 without:
  • The desks are available from Monday 3 August to Friday 11 September and are available to book on a weekly basis only.  The rooms will be accessible 24/7 during this period.
  • In the event that space is outstripped by demand, the priority will be to allow as many different interested PGs as possible to have at least one week's access to this space.
  • When your booking is confirmed, you will be allocated a desk number and we ask that you remain using this same desk throughout the week.

Health and safety considerations

  • Users of Moore Annexe 34 and 35 users must adhere to the College’s Covid-19 Health and Safety Code of Conduct, and adhere to social distancing rules at all times
  • Please also adhere to the recently created Shared Study Space Terms and Conditions
  • Face coverings are strongly encouraged. All of the desks are set up with 2m between them providing social distancing while working.
  • Each desk is numbered and will be provided to one person for the whole week. Each desk will be cleaned each day but since multiple people are not using each desk the risk is much lower. The desks being spread apart further reduces the risk.
  • Be considerate to your fellow users of this space. Please ensure that only one person is studying in each designated section and that all times you abide by the current social distancing requirements – i.e. at least 2m away from any other person – and by keeping good standards of hygiene by regularly washing your hands and keeping the space clean and tidy, using the same desk each day, not sitting on another student’s desk etc
  • The best control against Covid-19 contamination is washing your hands. Sanitiser is only recommended where this is not possible. The College is only providing hand sanitiser in high-footfall areas where hand washing is not practicable. Given the relatively small number of people accessing Moore Annexe hand washing remains the best control.
