Please join the Social Science Impact Accelerator Team for the quarterly Social Science Impact Lunch which will take place 12:00 – 1:30pm on Monday 30 September in the Event Space, EWD building (004Z - opposite the Enterprise Hub).

These events are an opportunity to network with the Royal Holloway social science community, hear from project leads about their impact work, and learn more about the Social Science Impact Accelerator (SSIA). Please note both PhD students and academic staff are welcome to join, and there will be relevant information shared for both groups. Colleagues from other disciplines are also encouraged to join if they are looking to collaborate on projects that would benefit from social science expertise.

We will begin with lunch and introductions and then move on to lightning presentations. Speakers include

  • Dr Jessica Kingston on her residency at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust
  • Dr Giulia Achilli and Dr Yiluyi Zeng on their flexible funding project on arts and culture in Slough
  • Dr Eugenio Vaccari on his ECR public engagement bursary-funded project on public authorities and financial distress
  • Aine Bennett on her PhD public engagement bursary-funded project on how migration support services negotiate gender and sexuality

… among others!

There will then be a Q&A session and wrap up, and we will end with networking.

Registration form here – we look forward to seeing you there!
