The Library within the Davison Building contains study space available to students and researchers. During 2021/22, the capacity of this space will be determined by the government and College guidelines and might alter to ensure the safety for all users. Founder's Reading Room

Founders Reading Room is open for individual, silent study. It can be accessed via the South Tower and will be open 24 hours a day providing you with a place to study overnight when the Emily Wilding Davison building is closed.

The space is unstaffed, but will be regularly monitored. If you require emergency assistance, please contact Security on 01784 443888.

Herringham Room

The difficult decision to repurpose the Herringham Room as a seminar space has been taken, due to the teaching space restrictions caused by Covid distancing measures, so is no longer available as a PGR study space.

Study space within your School

Most Schools offer some dedicated study space for their postgraduate researchers. Please view your department appendix for more details or contact your Department Postgraduate LeadSchool Director of PGR Education or School helpdesk for more details.

Bedford Square

From 20 September 2021/22 access to Bedford Square from 9am – 7pm during the week will resume for postgraduate researchers.  The study space will be as it was pre-pandemic, albeit with reduced seating
