What is my submission deadline? 

 

When should I submit my exam entry form?

We recommend that your exam entry form is submitted two months prior to the submission of your thesis to enable sufficient time for your examiners and independent chair to be appointed before thesis submission.

Your exam entry form should be submitted to the Doctoral School via your Director of Postgraduate Education. Please note that the examiners nominated on the entry form will need to be approved by your supervisor, your Department PGR Lead (if applicable) and your School Director of PGR Education before sending the entry form to the Doctoral School.

One of the options mentioned on the form is to present your thesis in a format other than a monograph.

I am resubmitting within 12 / 18 months. Do I need to re-enter for the exam?

Yes.  Please visit the Resubmission page for further details.

I would like to request a restriction of access. (Embargo) What should I do?

You may request a two year restriction of access without any further information required, all you need to do is tick the box in Part A on the exam entry form.

If you would like a restriction of access that is longer than two years - you can complete this form and submit it alongside your completed exam entry form to the Doctoral School.

If you want a restriction of access of up to five years,this will need to be approved by your supervisor.

If you would like a restriction of access over five years, or to be exempt from submitting a final electronic copy of your thesis, this request will be sent to your School Director of PGR Education for approval. The Doctoral School will notify you and your supervisor of the outcome of this request.
