Support for Postgraduate Taught (Masters) Students

As a postgraduate student, you can access a range of support services from The Careers Service. Whether you’re thinking about doing a PhD after your masters, looking for part-time work, or wanting help with a graduate job application, we can help:

• 121 Career Consultant appointments. You can book a 20 minute appointment with one of our experienced Career Consultants via the Careers Portal.
• Online career resources. You can find lots of careers information and advice on the Careers Moodle page, ranging from job search techniques to PhD advice.
• Work experience and jobs. Search for and apply to a variety of jobs available on the Careers Portal. If you need any help with application forms and interviews you can book an appointment with a Careers Consultant.
• Career events. Throughout the year our events team organise a range of careers events featuring employers and alumni from diverse industries. 
• Departmental activities. Keep an eye out for career events and activities within your department and School as these will feature employers and alumni targeted to your subject.
