We recently won an online poll to find the UK's most beautiful university, run by the Holiday Lettings website. With more than 21,000 votes in total, Royal Holloway achieved 31 per cent of the votes, beating 13 other universities.

Our 135-acre campus has an impressive combination of historic and modern buildings surrounded by woodland, where you can sometimes catch a glimpse of a deer or two.

At the heart of our campus stands the Grade I listed Founder's Building, designed and paid for by Thomas Holloway who wanted to do 'something good with his money', which was opened by Queen Victoria in 1886.

Opposite Founder's, you can find our state-of-the-art Emily Wilding Davison Building, which was also offically opened by royalty earlier this month by Princess Anne.

In the above picture, taken by Claire Willams during Welcome Week 2017, you can see both buildings and can perhaps see why Royal Holloway won this accolade.

Our beautiful campus is just one of the many reasons why you should study here - you can find out more about undergraduate or postgraduate study here.
