Muslim Prayer Room
Our Muslim Prayer Room is open for daily prayers - it is in Wetton's Annexe which is across the bridge by the main entrance. It is decorated with beautiful calligraphy and has excellent washing facilities. The Prayer Room is open during the daytime and accessible to our staff and students 24 hours a day.
Friday Prayers, Salāt al-Jum’ah, start at 1.15pm and are held on campus in Wetton’s Annexe (terms 1 & 2 only).
In term 3, the space is used for exams and assessments, and students and staff are invited to join local community prayers at the Jurgens Centre, Englefield Green.
To enable your student card for 24 hour access please contact Nisar Shaikh, our Muslim Chaplain.
Ramadan Guide
This guide, written by our Muslim Chaplain, is both for and about those who fast; to surround those who keep the fast (of Ramadān) with wider information so that they are able to adequately prepare for their examinations and / or revision whilst fasting, as well as to provide guidance for others who interact with those who fast. This guide aims to provide information covering the following areas:
- Key dates
- On-campus policy and provisions
- General information about Ramadān
- Nutrition advice
