Find out about careers support for recent graduates.

We are still here to support you after graduation

Did you know you can access our support for two years after graduation? Whether you are looking to find work or applying for further study, we can help!  Take a look below to see how.

Create an alumni account

As a graduate of Royal Holloway University, to access our support via the Careers Portal you will need to register for an alumni account. Once you have registered with your new alumni account you will be able to access the jobs page and book onto events and make appointments with a Career Consultant. If you have any questions, please contact careers@royalholloway.ac.uk.

Careers Consultant appointments

Our one-to-one discussions will help you evaluate your skills, explore career ideas and put together a plan that will get you started on a journey towards career success. Once you know what your next step is, our Careers Consultants can check your job applications, CVs, cover letters or personal statements for further study. All appointments are available online including over the holidays. Discover more about Careers Consultant appointments

Online Test Practice with Graduates First

To support you with job applications, as a Royal Holloway graduate you can access the Graduates First platform which offers a range of online and psychometric tests you can practice for free and as many times as you want. Just go to https://app.graduatesfirst.com/ROYALHOLLOWAY/account/login and follow the process given for graduate access.

Find an Alumni Mentor

Connect with alumni who can inspire and support you! Through Royal Holloway Connect, you can connect with alumni who are offering practical support, information and contacts. Find out more here.

Events

The careers service runs a wide range of careers events, many of which are open to graduates. These present a great way to develop your skills, learn about career options and make contact with professionals and employers.

Volunteering opportunities

As a graduate, you still have access to a range of volunteering opportunities through the Royal Holloway Volunteering Platform. Check out NCVO for your local volunteer centre, and if you’re under 25 years old, why not explore opportunities with vinspired?
