On Thursday 14 March, we recognised the work students have put into their extra-curricular activities at our Student Success Celebration Evening.
Attendees at the celebratory event included Passport Gold Award recipients, Peer Guide Leaders and representatives from Hall Life, RH100, Sport and Volunteering, as well as staff from the College and community partners.
Principal Paul Layzell opened the evening by acknowleging the community spirit and the positive contribution that many students make to student life outside of their studies.
Guest speakers on the night were Royal Holloway alumni Benjamin Ajayi-Obe and Isaac Kenyon of Atlantic Discovery who shared the story of how they rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic in a 28 foot boat from La Gomera in the Canary Islands to Antigua with fellow graduate Cameron Parker and friend Jack Hopkins. They spent a total of 40 days, 23 hours and 33 minutes at sea. You can learn more about their journey here.
