You should receive your exam timetable for the Spring Term Assessment Period on Wednesday (29 November).
Instructions will be sent to your university email address. Following this, please check the details of your timetable carefully via Campus Connect under MyStudies/Exams Details.
If you are taking exams during this time, please make sure you read the Student Guide to Assessment 2023/24.
Exams will begin at 9:30am and 2:00pm. Please arrive at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam so you can get ready and make sure you have everything you need. If you will be sitting any in-person invigilated exams, please be aware that all invigilated exams will take place on our Egham campus.
Key things to remember
- Your personal candidate number
You must know or bring with your candidate number to every exam. This is a confidential number which you will be asked to use in place of your name so that your work can be marked anonymously. You can find this on Campus Connect.
- Photo ID – no ID, no exam!
You must bring your Student ID Card or valid photo ID with you to every exam.
Invigilators will ask to see your Student ID Card. If you arrive and realise you have forgotten to bring any ID, there will be a helpdesk available for you to get a temporary ID for your exam. Information and reminders will be provided at each exam venue.
The helpdesk will open one hour before exams start and close thirty minutes after an exam starts. Any exam time lost while getting a temporary ID will not be given back during your exam.
If you have lost or damaged your Student ID Card, please request a replacement from the Student Services Centre in advance.
If you forget or lose your card during the exam period, the following forms of in-date photo IDs will be accepted:
-
- Valid Passport
- Photo ID driving licence
- Government-issued national photo ID card.
Photos of a form of ID or your student card will not be accepted. If you don’t present a valid form of photo ID you will be unable to sit the exam. Failing to sit an exam because you didn’t have ID won’t count as an extenuating circumstance.
- Mobile phones and smart devices are not allowed
Remember to turn off your devices and put them in your bag before entering the exam venue
