Trans Awareness Week is this week (13-19 November), and the Transgender flag will fly from our Founder's Building in recognition of this week. Royal Holloway stands by our trans students and staff, and seeks to protect, support and uplift the trans members of our community.
Transgender Day of Remembrance (Monday 20 November) seeks to remember trans people whose lives have been lost due to anti-transgender hatred and violence. On Monday 20 November, Sam Bolton the Student's Union LGBTQ+ Community Officer, the LGBT+ Society and the Chaplaincy are hosting a service in the Chapel on our Egham campus from 5.30-7pm. The service will include a reading of the names of transgender people who have died due to violence in the UK. Find out more.
