This morning, we wrote to all our Jewish, Palestinian and Israeli students. You can read a copy of that email below.
I’m writing to you to offer our support following the recent events which took place over the weekend. We are an international community here at Royal Holloway, where we mix and learn with many students and staff from all countries and all backgrounds, and we expect the highest standard of mutual respect.
Words cannot fully convey the impact of recent events and the conflict taking place. At a time of increasing tensions and constant media coverage, it can be overwhelming and prove difficult to know how it will affect us and how we might navigate the support that is available.
We are committed to supporting every member of our community. You may already be familiar with the range of support services we provide, but for those of you who are not, there is always someone to talk to whatever your situation or need, and our International Support and Wellbeing teams can answer any questions you might have.
