A message from Professor Zainab Khan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Education and Student Experience:

Dear all,

We are very sorry for the disruption you have experienced during the marking and assessment boycott, which was taking place as part of the University and College Union's (UCU) industrial action.

Yesterday (6 September), the national University and College Union (UCU) wrote the University advising that they have withdrawn their notice for the marking and assessment boycott and are no longer asking their members to take part in the action.

We very much welcome this announcement from UCU as it means that it will end the delay to those of you who are still waiting for any outstanding outcomes and this is our absolute priority.

We are working with Departments and Schools to ensure that marking is completed promptly, and Schools will update you by Tuesday (12 September) with a timeline of when you should receive your results.

In the meantime, if you have any questions regarding the marking and assessment boycott, please contact the Industrial Action inbox in the first instance.

My very best wishes,

Zainab
