On Tuesday 17 September, the South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) are running a major incident exercise on our Egham campus, which the University is hosting. This major incident exercise will also involve the Fire Service, Police, and elements of the University major incident response teams. It will take place from 10.30 am to 3.30 pm and be based around Windsor Building and Founder’s Square, which will involve over 20 emergency services vehicles.
There are few opportunities for the emergency services to practice large scale response and hosting this exercise, and future events, strongly aligns with our social purpose agenda.
Several volunteers are helping on the day, including students from Media Arts, Hall Life, and several Professional Services Directorates. There will be signage in place around the exercise area as well as marshals to inform students, colleagues, and members of the public.
