Applications are now open to become a Student Ambassador!

Being a Student Ambassador is a great way to meet other students across different departments and year groups, whilst having a part-time job.

Student Ambassadors provide advice and guidance to prospective students about Royal Holloway and university life in general. You'll assist with a wide range of external-facing on-campus events along with exhibitions and school visits off-campus.  You'll become a specialist in one or more areas relating to our student recruitment activities, and build valuable skills which will boost your employability.

The role of Student Ambassador fits well around your studies. Work is offered throughout the year and will include weekend and evening shifts. You can choose which types of work you would like to do based on your availability and academic timetable, with only attendance at larger on-campus events (such as Open Days) being mandatory.

The role of a Student Ambassador entails participation in various events with various age groups on-and off-campus. Some of the activities that our Student Ambassadors participate in include:

  • Open Days
  • Applicant Visit Days
  • Regular campus tours
  • Subject specific events, such as the Science Festival
  • On-and off-campus school visits
  • Residential Summer Schools
  • Higher Education Fairs and UCAS Conventions
  • E-mentoring and opportunities for engaging with prospective students online through social media and online presentations
  • Subject specific taster sessions.

Comprehensive training is provided to all those on the scheme. Student Ambassadors are paid at £8.25 per hour.
