Completing Your Degree

Congratulations, you have successfully completed your current Degree Course at Royal Holloway! Please see below for what happens next.

Results documentation

What documents are available now?

Your final results, including your confirmed award and degree classification, can be viewed in Campus Connect.

We appreciate that there is a short period between the publication of final results and the availability of official results documents. During this time, you can view your confirmed results in Campus Connect.

If you are applying for employment, professional membership or further study, we recommend checking the documentation requirements. The transcript issued to you is an official document printed on watermarked paper but it is not signed or stamped. If you require a signed and/or stamped transcript or have other specific documentary requirements, you may wish to use our Proof of Award service: Order proof of my award and results - Royal Holloway Student Intranet

Please note that this service is exceptionally busy at this time of year, and requests can take up to 20 working days to process. If you have any questions about your results documentation and want to speak to us, please contact us and we will be happy to advise.

Transcripts

Undergraduate students

Transcripts for undergraduate students will be available to collect from the Student Services Centre during Summer Graduation (Monday 20 July - Thursday 30 July). If you are unable to collect your transcript during graduation, your document will be posted to the forwarding address we have for you on Campus Connect at the beginning of August.

Please make sure your address is up to date at the point that your results are released to ensure the documents are sent to the correct address. See our article on updating your address for details on how to do this.

Transcript posting

Transcripts for students unable to collect their document will be dispatched as follows:

  • Transcripts for graduands with an international forwarding address will be sent by Royal Mail International (not tracked)
  • Transcripts for graduands with a UK forwarding address will be sent via Royal Mail 2nd class post.

Undergraduate Finalists - please ensure your forwarding address is updated on Campus Connect by Sunday 12 July 2026.

Postgraduate students

Transcripts for postgraduate students are posted to the forwarding address we have for you on Campus Connect within one month from the date of your final award, and will therefore not be available for collection during graduation (Winter or Summer). Please make sure your address is up to date at the point that your results are released to ensure the documents are sent to the correct address. See our article on updating your address for details on how to do this.

Postgraduate students - please ensure your forwarding address is updated on Campus Connect by Sunday 2 August 2026.

Degree certificates

Bachelors, Masters and PhD certificates are produced and dispatched by the University of London Diploma Production Office (DPO) and not Royal Holloway.

Certificates for Royal Holloway awards such as diplomas and certificates of higher education, are produced and dispatched by Royal Holloway.

Certificates are posted approximately six months after receiving your final award to the forwarding address we have on Campus Connect for you. This means you won’t receive your degree certificate during your ceremony or be able to collect it during graduation.

Please note that if you have an outstanding academic debt owed to the University at the time of your award, then you will not be issued with your degree certificate until the debt has been paid.

Your certificate and transcript must display your full legal name. Please ensure that your name is correct on Campus Connect at the point that your results are released. If you identify any errors, please contact us at studentservices@rhul.ac.uk as soon as possible.

Questions and Appeals

If you have a question about your results or progression decision, please contact your School Administration team in the first instance. If this does not resolve the issue and you are considering submitting an academic appeal, you should consult the Appeals Webpages for full details on the appeals process. An appeal may only be submitted on certain limited grounds.

Graduation

If you have any queries regarding Graduation, please contact the Graduation team directly.

The next Graduation ceremonies for PGT Students will be in December 2026.

The next Graduation ceremonies for UG Students and PGT Jan Starter Students will be in July 2026.
