Travelling to Graduation

Find out how to get to our Egham Campus

Planning how you travel to Graduation is important. With limited parking on campus and our committment to our environement, we are encouraging graduands and guests to find alternative travel routes to campus if they are able.

Public Transport

This year, we strongly encourage graduands and guests to use public transport to travel to graduation.

Trains

The closest train station to the College is in Egham, about a 15-minute walk from the campus. Egham station is on a main line which connects to London Waterloo and Reading. Trains from Egham to London Waterloo take about 40 minutes.

You can book train tickets to any railway station in the UK from Egham using the National Rail website.

There are also a number of buses that travel from Egham to Royal Holloway, as well as a shuttle bus that will run throughout the week (schedule pending).

Buses

You can find the RHU bus timetables here. A Graduation shuttle bus schedule will be available closer to July 2024.

Several local bus services run outside of Royal Holloway and serve the bus stops on the A30. They are as follows - you can click them below to find their schedules:

Cars

If you are travelling to campus by car, we ask that you limit the number of cars that you bring due to the very limited parking space on campus.

If you are driving to campus, please download, print and display our Parking Permit in your windscreen before arriving. Our traffic marshalls will then direct you to the suitable car parks.

Accessible Parking

Disabled parking is provided on campus. You will be sent a permit ahead of the ceremonies if you told us you have access requirements when booking. Please display the permit on your dashboard when arriving on campus to help our parking team direct you to the correct car park.
