On this page you will find a brief summary of the latest updates to the library's services. You can find further details on our Intranet pages. 

 

Opening hours: 

• During the summer break the library is open every day between 09:00-21:00.

 

Accessing Study space, physical services and the collection: 

• You should use our online resources if you are studying off campus. You can find help on how to access our eresources on our Accessing eresources webpage.

• If you require resources that are in the Library collection but you are currently unable to physically access them, please use our 'Books To You' service to send your request. Similarly, if there is a resource that we do not have, please make use of the 'Books To You' to ask us whether we can source it for you. 

 

Loans and returns:

• The due date on all one and three week loans borrowed been extended until 01/10/2021.

• For detailed information on borrowing and returns visit our Borrowing Rules and Returning Items web page.

• For graduating students who may not be returning to campus, we are offering a free postal service.

• You are unable to recall any items already out on loan until 1/10/2021

• Physical Inter-library loans can be returned through the returns windows in the Davison Building Atrium during Library opening hours, or to the book returns box outside of opening hours. Paperwork given out with the book should be left in the book when it is returned to help identify the lending library it should be returned to.

 

 External Users:

• We are currently unable to offer library membership to external users, including alumni, SCONUL users and members of the public.

• For existing external users who have items on loan, these loans will be extended until the library is able to provide access for external users.

• If you have any questions or would like to extend your membership to compensate for times when not able to use service, please contact us at Library@rhul.ac.uk.

 

Inter-library Loans:

• Users can request digital inter-library loans in the normal way through Librarysearch, for more details see the Inter-library loans page.

• Physical Inter-library loans can be returned through the returns windows in the Davison Building Atrium during Library opening hours, or to the book returns box outside of opening hours. Paperwork given out with the book should be left in the book when it is returned to help identify the lending library it should be returned to.
