As a College, we would like to say thank you to students and staff who have supported the Runnymede Foodbank. Our students and staff donated over 1,600kg of items during the 2019/20 academic year. There were also individual society/group donations from the Royal Holloway Chaplaincy and the Royal Holloway Catholic Society. Our donations in 2019 were over 500kg, yet increased almost three fold to over 1,400kg in 2020, an amazing response to the growth in food crisis within our local community during the pandemic.
Currently our student-led social action Foodbank project is planning to run doorstep collections from the local community. Furthermore, there is an existing challenge on the RH Moves app, and students and staff can donate points towards Foodbank until end of February.
