This morning, we wrote to all our Russian and Ukrainian students. You can read a copy of that email below.

Email text

I’m sure my email will find you thinking about many things at this challenging time. We are an international community at Royal Holloway, where we mix and learn with many students and staff from all countries and backgrounds and for whom we expect the highest standards of mutual respect. This respect and support for one another continues, irrespective of global events and their consequences.

Words cannot fully convey the impact of conflict, and at a time of increasing tensions and constant media coverage, it can prove difficult to predict how it will affect us, and at times, to navigate the support that is available.

The College’s commitment to support each and every member of our community is a certain. You might already be familiar with the range of support services we provide – there is always someone to talk to whatever your situation or need, and the teams at International Support and Wellbeing can answer any questions you might have. Of course, should at any time it be easier to contact me directly to help with any of the support available, please do so.

With best regards,

Jon
