Update my undergraduate study details

All the forms you need to update your undergraduate study details

Important things to check before requesting any changes to your record

  • Please check the tuition fee liability for interruption and withdrawal requests (found on the forms) before completing these.
  • Student Loans- If you are receiving the postgraduate loan from Student Finance, please read the information here before you make any changes to your study details which may impact your funding now and in the future.
  • Student Visa - If you are sponsored on a Student Route Visa (previously Tier 4), we have to let UK Visas and Immigration know about any changes you make to your student status. Before completing one of the forms, we recommend that you:
    • Contact the International Student Support Office to discuss the effect the change might have on your visa as there may be restrictions on the changes that you can make to your study details
    • Carefully read the visa implications on the form that you complete.
  • Halls of residence - If you are living in Halls accommodation and you are withdrawing, interrupting or changing to part-time, please visit your hall's reception desk to check out of your room.

If you need further support you can contact our Wellbeing team. Further information can be found here.

Change your degree course up to 28/03/2024

Please contact your School before requesting to change your degree. If they confirm that they approve the change you would like to make, please complete the form below.

Please note that any change resulting in a change of Term 1 modules needs to be submitted by 13/10/2023.

Please note that any change resulting in a change of Term 2 and 3 modules needs to be submitted by 26/01/2024. After this, as long as the change does not include changes to modules, this can be done up to 28/03/2024.

If your programme started in January it is likely the only change you will be able to make is to remove or include a year in industry. Please discuss this with your School.

Please note your transcript of study will show a full history of programme(s) including the change(s) you have made.

If you do not want to continue your current course but it is past the deadline, you may wish to discuss other options with your Department, for example interrupting your current year and returning at the start of the following academic year to change degree.

The Change of Degree form can be found here.

If you have not yet started your first year of study, and want to change your degree programme before you enrol, please email the Admissions team.

If you are on your Pre-Sessional English Language Programme (PELP) and have not yet started your main degree programme, and want to change your main programme of study, please email the Admissions team.

Change of mode in Term Three

If you’re unable to attend any examinations or complete assessments in Term Three, please contact your School for advice. Click here for more information about the exams and assessments period.

If you have any further queries, please contact the Student Services Centre.

The form will only be made available during the periods in which interruptions are permitted.
