Whilst the majority of accommodation in Halls is reserved for new students joining the College, we have reserved a limited number of rooms for allocation to full-time, continuing students in 2021/22.
Arrangements are being finalised to open up the application windows for Halls accommodation next year: to ensure you you don't miss out on any updates, please complete the expression of interest form and we will contact you via your Royal Holloway email account to let you know when you can apply.

FAQs
Will there be an option to request to live with friends?
We're not in a position to offer the option to live with friends because of the first-come-first-served approach to room allocation.
What are the fees for accommodation in 2021/22?
Please check the accommodation fees page for links to information on undergraduate and postgraduate hall fees for next year. It is worth noting that although the fees for all Halls are given, you will find that you may not have the full range of accommodation to select from when it comes to submitting your application as certain Halls may be limited to new students only, for example.
Will I need to pay a deposit if I am offered a room in halls?
If we are able to make you an offer of accommodation, you will be required to make a prepayment of £300 when accepting your contract. This is not a deposit, but advance payment to secure your room in Halls; this prepayment will be used to offset your first instalment of accommodation fees.
When can I apply?
We're finalising arrangements surrounding the application process for Halls accommodation and anticipate continuing students will be able to apply before the end of term 2.
If you are interested in Halls accommodation for next year, please complete the expression of interest form via the link above and we will contact you through your Royal Holloway email account let you know when you can apply. Alternatively, look out for updates via the Accommodation Allocation Policy 2021/22.
Is an offer of accommodation guaranteed?
Demand for halls accommodation from continuing students is high therefore it is not possible to guarantee everyone an offer of accommodation. If we run out of rooms we will hold your application on a waiting list, but please be aware that we cannot predict when or if we'll be able to offer accommodation to students on the waiting list as this is dependent on others rejecting their accommodation offers.
Certain student groups are guaranteed or prioritised an offer of accommodation. For more details including the application deadlines, please refer to the Accommodation Allocation Policy 2021/22.
