What happens when I change my mobile phone?

 

If you’ve retained access to your original device, you can login to the Microsoft Security Info page and select ‘+ Add a Sign in Method’ to configure MFA on your new device. You can then make your new device your default method of authentication and remove your old device if required.

If you have lost, sold or broken your old device and have no alternative methods of MFA configured, you’ll need to contact the IT Service Desk who can support you in setting up your new device. 

When configuring your new device, please note that attempting to clone your phone often causes issues with the authenticator app, you’ll instead want to setup the new phone in the app separately.
