How do I install ArcGIS?

 

ArcGIS is a tool you can use to make maps and analyse data.

You can install it by using this link:

The prerequisites for running this tool are included in the link above, but if you want to check the system requirements, you can visit the ArcGIS website.

To install ArcGIS, you need to:

• Ensure you are first connected to CampusNet or the VPN if working remotely, before starting the install
• Go to the SharePoint site in the link listed above. Please note, you will need to login with your Microsoft Office ID to open it
• Click the 'download' link in the top bar on the page, as below:

 

        

• This will download an EXE file onto your device
• Now open the file location in Windows Explorer, locate the file, right click and choose "Run as Administrator".
