Over the last couple of months I’ve written to you to update you on our plans for the new academic year.

In response to the pandemic, we are working hard to adapt your course to combine face-to-face and online teaching and learning support. More information about this will be shared with you over the course of the summer and as we get closer to the start of the new academic year. Planning for the academic year is complicated and your timetable for term one will be available from 16 September, with timetables for terms two and three following on later in the first term. We continue to plan to welcome students back to campus for the start of session on Monday 21 September.

The safety of our whole community remains our top priority and in my last update on 24 June, I talked briefly about the measures we’re taking to make sure campus is as safe as possible for you, our students, and our staff.

In the video below you can find out more about the steps we’ve taken and the progress we’ve made in planning what your social and personal experience might be like when you return to your studies.

You can find more information in our FAQs on the student intranet which we will continue to update.

I will be writing to you again next month to provide you with a further update on the progress we’re making to safely welcome you back to campus and ensure that you can continue to engage with the activities that are important to you and that you can succeed in your studies.

Best wishes
