We are proud to say that as a college, our preparations and plans for a covid-secure campus have been approved independently in three areas. The first is a covid-secure Guideline Verification certificate from the NQA, which verifies that the college has met the relevant guidance and best practice to alleviate the transmission of coronavirus (Covid-19) in accordance to government guidelines. The other two cover our catering outlets and residences. Visit Britain has awarded these it’s Good to Go Covid-19 industry standard and consumer mark. This is an industry standard and consumer mark which has been created to reassure people that catering outlets are sticking to Government and public health guidance, including in relation to social distancing and cleanliness.

Douglas Searle, our Health and Safety Director, said: “We have worked hard over the summer to seek to create a covid-secure campus and these audits verifies that this work meets the relevant guidance. As we move into the start of teaching, we will be continuing to review the measures we have in place and will be working with everyone in our community to ensure we all play our part in reducing the spread of Covid-19.”
