Career Development Awards and College Prizes are open for applications until Monday (29 March).
There are two Career Development Awards that we are offering this year:
- The Dame Felicity Lott Scholarship - open to all final year students who intend to progress to a professional career as a performer of music, though it is not restricted to students from the Department of Music. The bursary can be used to help with the costs of professional training.
- The Kathleen Nixon Award - open to female students graduating this academic year or who have recently graduated from Royal Holloway. The award is intended to help with training for a profession or a vocation.
There are also two College Prizes available:
- The Mary MacPherson Essay Prize - open to undergraduate students from any department of the College and is awarded in recognition of a piece of journalistic writing of high distinction. The essay should be up to 1,200 words in length, with the subject of the essay chosen by the applicant.
- The Max Carey Memorial Prize - open to undergraduate students from any department of the College and is awarded for work showing initiative and enterprise. Academic work is not usually considered for this award unless it is exceptional.
