Following the proclamation of the new King, Professor Ken Badcock, Interim Principal of Royal Holloway, University of London, said:

“As a respected member of the Royal family, he has worked tirelessly to make a difference both in the UK and internationally.
“As our King, he will lead our nation with vigour.”
Please note, to mark the proclamation of the new monarch, King Charles III, in London today, Saturday 10 September, from 11am, and in line with national protocol, the Union Flag on our Founder’s building has been raised to full mast. It will then be lowered back to half-mast tomorrow, Sunday 11 September, for the remainder of the period of national mourning.
