"Having been an avid listener to Insanity during my first year, it was by chance that I ended up in the studio during Welcome Week of my second year as a guest to talk about the Orbital, an appearance which I thought would be my only chance to appear on air. With an hour until show applications closed a few days later, I received a message from the Assistant Station Manager, whose show I had guested on, encouraging me to make an application to present my own show and I threw together an idea, expecting it not to go anywhere. It was to my surprise and pleasure that just over a week later I presented my first hour long show, which would later be called Entertaining History, and within six weeks, my hour on air became the highlight of my week and I was already thinking about the loss I would feel over the Christmas holidays when I wouldn’t be able to present.

During the spring term, an idea came to mind between myself and my friend Tim about a Christian music and chat show, which would include interviews with Christian faith groups from across campus and the community. This was a format which was quite distinct from other shows that were in the schedule, due to its religious nature, and something only one other student radio station was doing to my knowledge. I’m greatly pleased to be continuing the show (Let Them Hear) for another term! My one regret for my time at university is that I didn’t get involved with Insanity sooner, as this year has not only been an opportunity for me to do something completely new and different and make new friends, but also give something back to the station and the people who are involved by getting stuck in as much as I can."

'"Why did I join Insanity? I don’t know really, it just sort of happened! I came back to uni this September expecting to be doing the same things as last year. Next thing I know, I’m sat in a studio waxing lyrical about things that pop into my head out of the blue, and quizzing people on topics which, I’ll be honest, are pretty much impossible! I’ve only been a part of Insanity for 6 weeks now, but it feels like I’ve been here forever! Everyone is so nice and helps you so much if you have a problem. You pick up skills you never thought you’d ever develop, and its some of the best fun I’ve had whilst being at uni! What a community to be involved in!"

'If there's anything us anime fans like more than watching anime, it's raving about our interests to others. The Anime Society Show on Insanity has been a fantastic chance to share the anime music and gossip that we love on an open platform. Insanity's acceptance of our niche genre has really allowed our show to flourish, and we hope everyone's enjoying it as much as us!'
