Monitoring attendance


 

Student Administration monitors your attendance and your School(s) monitor your academic engagement and progress in order to offer you appropriate academic and pastoral support and to identify where support from outside the School may be necessary. 

The activities at which your attendance is monitored may vary depending upon the discipline in which you are studying. In the 2020/21 academic year, your attendance at timetabled teaching sessions such as lectures, seminars, practicals, workshops etc.will be recorded in one of two ways:

  • By Student; You will be required to register your method of attendance i.e. in person or online via the College attendance and engagement system. To access this you will need to log into by logging into Campus Connect and go to the 'register your attendance’ section located in the My Study information section You can confirm your attendance during the teaching session and up to 30 minutes after it finishes.
  • By Staff; A staff member leading the session will record attendance.
  • Please note the way your teaching session will be recorded, will be displayed on your Schedule by each teaching session in the attendance monitoring system.

It is your responsibility to notify your School and Student Administration as soon as possible if the correct teaching sessions are not on your Schedule.
