Make a Difference Day is part of the national initiative where over 120,000 volunteers nationwide give up their time to make a difference to the local community.

Students are able to get involved in lots of short term projects in the local community. Recent examples include school work, gardening, painting, art work and much more, MADD is also a fantastic way to get involved with volunteering as a group, club or society.

The Great British Spring Clean gives students the chance to participate in a variety of different projects, either as individuals or as part of a club or society. Students have painted, cleaned, litter picked and painted murals to keep the local area looking clean and fresh. The Big Spring Clean enables students of Royal Holloway to provide support for community projects in Egham, Englefield Green and the surrounding area. It is also a fantastic way to get involved with volunteering as a club or society.

Volunteering Week 2014

Volunteers' Week 2018 takes place at the end of May, which will see Royal Holloway enter its thirteenth year of hosting a community initiative as part of national Volunteers' Week. As exams and coursework deadlines are over, why not do something worthwhile whilst having fun in the sunshine?

Each year over one hundred of students contribute significant hours to serving the local community. Royal Hollway Volunteering works in partnership with Voluntary Support North Surrey and a wider range of local charities and community organisations to offer a huge range of projects for students and community volunteers to get involved with.

Sign up now to be involved, or if you are part of a club or society then why not get your whole group involved?
