Over the last few years, I’ve heard lots of very positive feedback about improvements we’ve made to where you study and live, our academic processes and learning environments. Many of these are the direct result of feedback from you.
Listening to the voices of students is really important to us; your views about what works here at Royal Holloway, and what we can do to support you even more, are essential to our continued improvement. There are lots of ways you can ensure your student voice is heard, for example last week the Students’ Union opened
nominations for Academic Representatives. With around 400 positions available across all programmes, departments and years of study, these roles represent a rewarding opportunity for you to work with your peers and academic staff to ensure academic interests are being represented across the College. Another is by joining the RH100 panel.
RH100 is a large focus group made up of 100 students from across Royal Holloway. Having the RH100 panel helps to ensure that a range of views are considered in relation to developments around campus and provide insights that help us to test ideas, develop our thinking and inform how we shape the College for the future.
Last academic year, the panel offered some great insights, some of which have already been used to make improvements.
Their insights helped to shape the recent upgrade to fitness facilities on campus. The panellists’ input on the graduate employability journey also helped to shape our campus-wide approach to careers. Following a discussion on academic feedback, the RH100’s observations will be taken into account in future planning for teaching and learning.
