We’re currently in the middle of the exams and assessments season, and some of you will be starting to make plans for summer. If you haven’t already, I would encourage you take some time to start thinking about opportunities you can get involved in on campus, between now and the end of term.

Our Careers team have organised a range of events to help you think about how you can build your employment skills, including internships and summer seasonal roles which will enhance your CV. You’re invited to our Summer Careers Fair on Wednesday 1 June, where you can explore your options and discover the types of vacancies that are available at this time of the year. Conversations with recruiters can be helpful, even if you’re not quite sure of your plans yet. They can provide information on current vacancies, the skills and experience that they value the most, as well as helping you to identify anything you could be working on to improve your employability.

There are also employment opportunities on campus. Our Student Engagement team are looking for four Student Engagement Assistants to join them on a part-time basis to look after our Peer Guide volunteers. Applications are currently open to be a Peer Guide volunteer, and you can find out more on the student intranet. Lastly, if you want to share your ideas on a project that the College is working on, you can apply to be part of our RH100 panel. Register your interest and apply here.

I wish you the best of luck in the rest of your exams and assessments, and I hope you are able to find time to discover our range of opportunities on campus.
